INTIDAB Filly Wins Saratoga Maiden Special Weight

Monday, August 17, 2009

STATEN ISLAND GAL made her second start a winning one, taking the 6th race at Saratoga Race Course, a mile and one-sixteenth maiden special weight over the firm turf course.

The 3-year-old daughter of INTIDAB was wide in the early going after breaking from the outside post in the field of ten. She used her speed to gain position down the backstretch and she was ready to strike around the final turn. She reached the lead at the top of the stretch and gamely held sway to the wire to win by a half-length.

STATEN ISLAND GAL is a homebred racing for Amici Stable LLC and she is trained by Timothy Hills. She was produced by the Personal Flag mare, Personal Wealth.
